Shawn is a Colorado native and currently resides there with his family. He received an Associates Degree in Fine Art from Front Range Community College and later went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Design from Metropolitan State College of Denver. Shawn works primarily in acrylics and pen & ink as well as digitally. He also enjoys woodworking, sculpture and working with recycled materials and giving new life to something that would otherwise be discarded. Shawn draws inspiration from nature as well as cartoons and pop culture.
Shawn has recently participated in the Pastels On 5th sidewalk chalk art festival and has become a frequent chalk artist for Loveland’s Night On The Town during the summer months. His illustrations have been featured on labels for Verboten Brewing and his artwork has been on display at the Carnegie Center for Creativity, the Art Lab, the Downtown Artery, and Artworks Loveland as well as a handful of public art installations in Fort Collins. These days, Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and their numerous pets while spending time in his studio honing his skills while working as a professional artist.
